Creston

Creston, Cupertino

So, is the Creston neighborhood in Los Altos or Cupertino? That depends on whom you ask. Residents in this decidedly residential neighborhood may have one or the other address. What remains consistent for them, however, is the snappy commute from here – the 280 provides Creston’s northern border.

Shopping, dining and recreation in Creston

Creston is a residential neighborhood, so you won’t find a lot of retail shopping, services, and restaurants within its borders. Just north, however, off Homestead Rd., you can shop at Trader Joe’s, Rite-Aid, Peet’s Coffee and more.

Bateh Brothers Liquors and Groceries lies just over the community’s southwest border and it’s worth a stop to pick up a bottle of wine and engage in conversation with the store’s über congenial owner.

Creston residents love their parks, most especially Varian Park. With tennis courts, two playgrounds and picnic areas, the 6.3 acres here get plenty of use.

Somerset Park is more of a neighborhood-style park and it, too, offers a picnic area and playground for the little ones.

Golfers love Creston for its proximity to Blackberry Farm Golf Course, just over the community’s southeast corner. This 9-hole track has a Par of 29, narrow fairways and small greens.
